Cooper's First Fourth!

Cooper had a great first Fourth of July! This is one of our most favorite holidays to celebrate in Lake Jackson because of the fun party that our friends the Gryseels throw every year. Because of the burn ban, the city wasn't able to do the fireworks show this year, but we had the party anyway and enjoyed hanging out!

(Yes, that is a medicine bottle in her hands! She loves to chew on the tip of it and she was so attached to it that day that we just went with it!)

Kendall posing with the cute Mitterling kids...she loves these guys!

Cooper spent most of her time eating..and eating...and eating! She will just eat and eat until you move her away from any food! But then when she sees some, she is ready to go all over again! Today I picked her up from the nursery at church and her teachers said, "Ashley. You are going to have to start feeding this girl!" They said she would just spend the whole hour sitting and eating cheerios and "goldfish tails." (They told me since she doesn't have any teeth yet, they just give her the tails. She is rotten. :) Anyway, she loves to eat.!

And Kendall spent most of her time swimming in all the little pools they had set up. So fun!

At the end of the night, Randy was holding a chicken wing, about to eat it. Cooper lunged for it and started pulling it, wanting it in her mouth!! Once he let her get a taste of it, there was no stopping her - she would not quit eating it!!! We were all cracking up so much.

Medicine dropper and chicken wing...what more does a girl need?!

Maybe she can cut some teeth on a chicken wing. Randy is so proud.

Thanks again Laurie and Tony for such a fun party!! We love celebrating the Fourth with our Lake Jackson family!

Oh - I forgot - at one point in the party, Laurie and Tony got all of our attention and said it was time for the fireworks to start. We all kind of looked at them and they both started up a fireworks show off of YouTube or something on their IPhones! Then they walked around holding their phones in front of all our faces. So funny! Kendall loved it - and I'm sure Cooper probably loved it much more than real, loud fireworks!!
