7 Months Old!

Happy 7 month birthday, Cooper! You are changing so much and we are loving being along for the ride. Here are some things about you at 7 months:

- You are wearing size 3 diapers and size 6-9 month clothes.

- You are starting to crawl, but it really seems more like scooting around - we are already having to make sure Kendall keeps her little toys out of your way!

- You are eating solids after two of your four feedings each day. We have tried sweet potatoes, apples, bananas and peas and the peas were the only things you didn't like!

- You love to grab your feet and suck on your toes. Love that!

- Kendall is still the funniest person in your world - you laugh so hard at her!

- You never cry. Ever. You are just so happy all the time!

- You startle easily. The smallest things make you jump, like Molly barking or someone stepping into your line of sight that you didn't know was there. It still doesn't make you cry though.

- You love to work in your "office" (your exersaucer), and you love to jump in the jumperoo.

- Your eyes are so big and blue and beautiful and you just smile all the time. We love that gummy smile! Your hair is looking redder and redder the more it comes in, but it's still pretty fuzzy!

- No teeth yet, but lots of drool!

- You sleep from 8:30 at night until 7:30 in the morning. After you eat you take a morning nap, then eat again at 11:30. Then you eat solids, take another nap, and eat again 4:00. You eat solids after that feeding, too, and you have dropped your last nap of the day, so you are usually awake until that last feeding at 7:30. I think you are close to dropping the 4:00 feeding and we will just push the last feeding up to 6:00 or 6:30 and follow it with solids.

Love these sisters!

We have been having a lot of fun playing outside lately! We are taking advantage of the days where it's nice and warm but the mosquitoes aren't here yet. Randy went to Pine Cove this past weekend for children's camp, so Kendall, Cooper and I had a girls' weekend.

Kendall was excited to have a picnic one day out on the driveway.

"Hey Kendall, let me take a picture of you and Cooper!"

She is such a little ham. And so full of d.r.a.m.a. The drama llama is at our house a lot these days, Nacho. :) These girls just love each other so much! I know I write about that a lot, but it is one of my most favorite things. They love to laugh together and hang out together. Kendall is still so sweet with Cooper, helps me out a ton with her, and never gets frustrated with her or jealous of her. Cooper always wants to be wherever Kendall is and laughs so hard at anything she does. We are so blessed!
We are so thankful for our family!!

Belly Day!

Yesterday was Belly Day at our house and at the Hiatt's house!! We were all celebrating Patrick having his omphalocele surgery today by sending Lindsey pictures of our babies in just their diapers and bellies. :) You can go read about Patrick's Belly Day, and see all the Belly Day pictures, here. Cooper was excited for Patrick!!!

"Hey, Mom, is this my book about Patrick? Look at his picture!"

"I'm so glad he is smiling at me instead of crying!"

And the surgery was today and it was a success!!! We are amazed at God's work in Patrick and we are celebrating with you Matt and Lindsey!!

I Scream, You Scream...

At the end of Spring Break last week, Mom and Alden came for a quick visit. They got here on Thursday and then left late Friday evening, but we squeezed a lot of fun into their stay!
When they got here Thursday, the girls had just gotten up from their nap. They were so excited to see their Granny and Aunt Auggie!
We had Kevin and Jan over for dinner Thursday night and looked at Mom and Alden's Las Vegas pictures. It was a fun, relaxing evening!
Friday we played at the house and then went to Chick-fil-A for lunch. Cooper sat in a high chair like such a big girl...
...and then she had a big girl blow-out!

I took her inside to change her clothes and diaper, and when we got back outside, we ate ice cream. Really, we laughed at Cooper while she ate Mom's ice cream. It.was.so.funny! Mom gave her one taste and it was all over - she would grunt and pull on Mom's hand and stick her tongue out....she loves ice cream like her mama!!
You couldn't even take it away from her mouth for a minute. She was very focused!! Look at that grip she has on Granny's finger!

She was a mess, so she got a bath when we got home. Look at her sitting up in the tub like a big girl!
Friday afternoon after the girls took a nap we drove up to Pearland to do some shopping and eat some Mexican food! Granny got Kendall some new shoes and then she got the girls cute matching swimsuits! We had a great time with you guys, Mom and Alden! Thanks for coming to visit!! Love yall!

Her First Rodeo

Cooper went to the stockshow and rodeo for the first time last week! The Houston Rodeo has been going on and Gigi and Peeps came down from Sunday to Tuesday for a visit, so we drove up Monday and went to the stockshow! It was a little rainy off and on Monday, but we had a ton of fun anyway!!
Right when we got there, they had a pretend farm for kids to walk through and collect different products to take to the market to sell for money. They collected fruits and vegetables, milked a cow, sheared a sheep for wool, and got to even see some real animals!

After Kendall sold all her goods at the market, we walked inside to check out the stockshow.

Coop really seemed to enjoy looking at the animals! It was fun to read the signs - most of them were from Texas A&M!

After we checked out the stockshow for a little while, we went back outside to watch the mutton bustin!! Kendall and Randy were super excited about this!
Those little kids were so cute riding those sheep!! Some of them held on really well!

Peeps held Cooper while Kendall and Gigi watched an exotic animal show.

Checking out the petting zoo - Cooper looks a little unsure of all those animals walking around!

Now...here is what Kendall was the most excited about! Sunday night before we went on Monday, Randy and Gigi were looking the rodeo up online to see what time everything happened. They saw that there were pig races and asked Kendall if she wanted to watch those. Kendall for some reason heard "pig dancing" and got very excited about watching the pigs dance! The whole time we got ready Monday morning and all the way to the rodeo she kept talking about seeing the pigs dance. We were inside the stockshow getting ready to go find the pig races and I had to take Kendall to the bathroom. She finished and we started walking out and I said, "Come on - let's do this!" And she said, "Yea! Let's go watch those pigs dance!!" I said, "Yea! Or maybe just run in a circle, but it's going to be awesome!!" She was definitely not disappointed. :) Those pig races were so cute.

Not only did those little pigs race, but there was also a pig named Swifty that jumped in a pool of water and swam! He was so cute!

One of the reasons we wanted to go to the rodeo was that Randy's Uncle Mark and Aunt Lydia were there! They have a booth that they set up and they were selling girls' clothes and rocking chairs. We surprised them and enjoyed getting to visit! They even gave the girls two super cute red bandana dresses. I need to take pictures of those soon!

We had a great time at the rodeo! Thanks for coming to see us Gigi and Peeps and for taking us to the rodeo! We had a great time!
And just in case you are just as excited about the pig races as Kendall was, here is a video. This particular race was a "Big 12" race - Tech vs. t.u. vs. OU vs. A&M. The Aggie pig was in last place, but he is the only one that got the Oreo cookie at the end! I think that means he is the smartest! :)

Two Firsts: High chair and Sweet potatoes!

Cooper had two firsts last week: she sat in her high chair for the first time and she had sweet potatoes for the first time!
She seemed to enjoy her high chair - especially having a tray to hold her toys.
Funny face!

Her right eye has been leaking non-stop lately. We're thinking clogged tear duct.
She has been eating cereal for awhile, so we decided to add sweet potatoes this past week. She really liked them!
Sweet potatoes were the first foods we did with Kendall, too. I made them myself and froze two whole ice cube trays worth of food for later! This was last week that we tried them, and towards the end of the week her stomach seemed to start hurting her. She had a hard time falling asleep after we would feed her, and she would just kind of squirm like her stomach was upset. We decided to back off of solids completely, take a few days off, and then start again this week. Today we started back with cereal and applesauce. We'll see how she does!
We are so thankful for a sweet, happy girl who loves her food!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Cooper wore her green yesterday for her first St. Patrick's Day!! She told me I pinch all of her cuteness enough...she didn't need to give me another reason!

Cooper loves to celebrate new holidays, just like her friend....

...Patrick! We couldn't let "St. Patrick's" Day pass without a cute picture of a smiley, green Patrick and his awesome Mom!! We love you guys!! Cooper is ready for another playdate soon!
And maybe this time Patrick will stay this smiley. :)
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

6 months and 3 years

Last weekend, Jenny took our family pictures, Kendall's 3 year old pictures, and Cooper's 6 month pictures. We went out to a lady's house that is set up for photographers to bring clients out to, and it was so cute. We were so impressed with all of Jenny's pictures and don't know how we are ever going to choose!
