Cooper is loving the beach these days! We are going out there about once or twice a week to play and she seems to have a lot of fun. These pictures are from when the Hundls had their beach house a couple of weeks ago and we went out there to have dinner with them one evening and go down to the water.
Kendall, Ethan, and Ella had fun swimming in a little tide pool,

Rain...finally!
We were so excited this week to finally get some rain! We have been in such a bad drought and needed the rain so badly. The girls and I were home by ourselves all week with Randy hosting at youth camp, and Wednesday after it rained we went outside to play in it for awhile! Kendall was very excited to get to wear her rain boots, jacket, and play with her umbrella!

The Best Daddy!!
We had a great Father's Day weekend spending time as a family! Randy left to be the host at a youth camp Sunday afternoon, so we went to church and then came home and cooked him a nice Father's Day lunch - chicken parmesan! He worked on Friday because he stayed home with the girls while I was gone on Thursday, but on Saturday we went out to eat breakfast, came home to rest for the afternoon, then went swimming with the Sanders that night and cooked out!
I didn't realize it until we met Randy at church Sunday morning, but he wore a baby blue shirt and the girls had on their baby blue Easter dresses! I tried to take a picture of the three of them together...but it is just not easy to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time!
We love you so much Randy and are so thankful for the wonderful Daddy you are! I am so thankful to be doing this with you and could never have dreamed all those years ago that we started dating that you would be such an amazing Dad to our girls. I love you so much!!

Cooper's week with Gigi and Peeps!
Cooper enjoyed Gigi and Peeps' visit last week, too! One thing I was nervous about with this class all day every day was missing Cooper's breakfast and lunch feeding. I thought I would miss dinner too, but we were dismissed every afternoon by 3:30 so I was home by 5:30, just in time for dinner! Gigi, Peeps, and Grandma Dane took great care of Cooper and she did ok with taking a bottle for those first two feedings of the day. She didn't love it, so I am thinking that we are going to try to just move straight to a sippy cup...we'll see how that goes...so far she just likes to play with it!
Cooper didn't get to sleep out in the camper like Kendall did, but we did all go to the beach Tuesday night! Some days she loves getting wet and putting her feet in the sand, but this night she didn't really want much to do with it. I tried putting her down to see if she might want to play...
...but she told me real fast that she wanted back up.
So we all took turns holding her! She loved playing with Peeps and his bottle...

...and laughing with Gigi!
We had a great evening at the beach and were so thankful for how well Cooper did last week. I don't want to leave Randy out either - he switched his day off to stay home with the girls all day Thursday by himself and they did great that day, too! The house was even clean and the dishes were done when I came home - so impressed! So thankful for my family who is supporting me in getting my masters and helping me with the girls!!

Memorial Day...
I found some pictures today from Memorial Day that I never posted...oops! Sorry Coop! Some of these were on Kendall's blog, but I loved the ones of Cooper with her friend Reese.
We went to two cook-outs on Memorial Day - the first one was at the Beams' house for lunch, and the second was at our friends the Peart's house for dinner and a going away party for the Blocks.
The Garrett's were at the Peart's that night, too, and both of their girls are close in age to our girls - Jillian is two months older than Kendall and Cooper is about 6 weeks older than Reese. We put the two of them on a blanket to hang out and they were so funny together!

Blessed!
We bought diapers for Cooper for the first time today! She is almost 9 and a half months old and we have never had to buy diapers for her! I can't even believe that and I am so thankful! Our friends and family have helped us so much by showering us with diapers when Cooper was born and we are just SO SO grateful!!
I went back and looked, and we bought Kendall diapers right before she turned 7 months for the first time. We have been so blessed and don't take it for granted!

9 month checkup!
Cooper had her doctor's appointment yesterday! It was my first time to take both girls by myself (I usually schedule Cooper's appointments for Tuesdays or Thursdays when Kendall is in school) and they did so great! Kendall enjoyed talking to Dr. B and only interrupted a couple of times. :)
I told Dr. B that we have been blaming things on teething for months now and we were so curious for him to look and see if her teeth were going to be coming through soon. He looked and said, "Not even close!" Ha! But he did say we could keep using it as an excuse for fussy behavior! Love it! :) He checked back and said that Kendall had four teeth by the time she was nine months, but that some babies don't get them until around a year, so Coop is totally normal.
Cooper measured 26.5 inches long, which is in the 75th percentile and she weighed 18 lbs 8 oz which is only in the 50th percentile! She is long and skinny - very unlike her sister was at this age! Just for a comparison, Kendall was a quarter of an inch shorter and weighed 21 lbs at 9 mos!

Everything checked out great! He was impressed with how she is standing on her own and crawling so fast. She didn't have to have any shots today, but we do have to go have some blood work done soon. I decided to NOT go do that by myself with both girls...I'll wait for Randy on that one!
Dr. B said, "Isn't it wonderful to have two happy, healthy girls?" I said, "Absolutely! We are so thankful!!"

Where ARE they?!
Where in the world are Cooper's teeth?! We have been thinking that they were about to break through for three months now! Lately she has started sticking her tongue out a lot - not sure if she is feeling something down there or if she just learned a new trick, but she does it a lot. It's pretty cute.
For her sake and our's, we are really hoping those teeth come soon!! Poor baby - some evenings she just seems like her mouth hurts her so bad!

9 Months Old!
Happy 9 month birthday, Cooper! You are getting so, so big and we love watching all the new things you do.
I could NOT get you to sit still today for your pictures! You are such a wiggle worm and you are hardly ever still!
You are starting to stand by yourself! So far it's just for a few seconds, but you are getting so brave and are wanting to let go of things a lot more often.

One of your favorite places to hang out lately is at Kendall's play kitchen. You pull out the drawers and open the cabinets and will sit there playing with the food and dishes for so long, just as happy as can be! You also love sitting in front of the fridge, playing with the fridge farm and the letters.
Still no teeth!! I can feel them right below the gums, but no teeth have broken through yet! We think you are going to have fangs like your sister did. :)
We love hearing the way you are "talking." Most of the time it sounds like "Ba ba ba ba" but we think you're getting close to "dada" or "mama!" Can't wait to hear those words!
We love you sweet girl! Happy 9 month birthday! We go to the doctor next week, so we'll know how big you are getting after that.
